  • Admission is not required to dine at 1919 Cafe or Red Car coffee shop.

  • A limited number of tables for picnicking are available in the Garden Court and patio adjacent to the ticketing area. No picnicking allowed in the gardens. No outside alcoholic beverages.

Rose Garden Tea Room

Set within the historic Rose Garden, the Rose Garden Tea Room continues its elegant tea service with a selection of teas, seasonal house-made scones, and a variety of savory and sweet offerings, including smoked salmon with dill cream cheese and caviar; banoffee tart with dulce de leche, banana jam, and caramel crunch; and buckwheat financier with lemon pistachio glaze.

Dining reservations strongly recommended.

Wine Down at the Rose Garden Tea Room
Mon., Wed., Thu., 3–5 p.m.
Closed Tuesdays. Reservations for Wine Down service are not required or accepted and seating is based on availability.

Red Car coffee shop

Inspired by the Pacific Electric Railway and showcasing travel posters from The Huntington’s collections, Red Car coffee shop offers espresso, tea, pastries, ice cream, snacks, and grab-and-go fare. Pick up a warm croissant breakfast sandwich, muffin, or scone to go if you’re in a hurry, or take your time and enjoy a sandwich or salad for lunch seated at the banquette, booth, or bar area.

1919 Cafe

Serving a selection of grilled items, house-made soups, hand-crafted sandwiches, salads, tacos, tostada bowls, and house-made salsas, 1919 Cafe offers indoor and outdoor dining. The Bar is also open with a wide selection of wine and beer.

Members at the Premier levels (Affiliate, Patron, Supporting, Benefactor, and Society of Fellows) are eligible for a 10% discount! Reservations not required or accepted.

Freshwater Pavilion

Located in the Chinese Garden, the Freshwater Pavilion is serving milk tea (with optional boba) and iced teas; pastries including macarons, croissants, and whoopie pies; delicious grab-and-go fare including a Korean noodle salad; and assorted snacks.

Jade Court Cafe

Serving delicious pork and chive pot stickers, Dan Dan Noodles, spicy-sweet Ginger Crème Brûlée, and more, the new Jade Court Cafe is already a Huntington favorite.
